Basic Wellness Panel $50

The Basic Wellness Panel is the perfect panel to see how your overall health is doing. The panel consists of tests that are typically ordered during an annual physical examination.

Most important, this is a good panel to establish your "baseline." Your baseline consists of all the numeric test results (levels) including your blood counts, kidney function, liver function, electrolytes, total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL, and thyroid function values. By knowing these levels, you can begin to manage your own health.

The Basic Wellness Panel includes the following test:

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC) - Tests for blood disorders such as leukemia, anemia, and blood clotting.
  • Complete Metabolic Panel (CMP) - Includes 16 essential tests which give information about glucose levels, electrolytes, and kidney and liver functions.
  • Lipid Panel - Analyzes your cholesterol, triglycerides, and LDL and HDL levels. Results can be used to determine your risk for coronary artery disease or stroke.
  • Urinalysis - Tests your urine for substances that can indicate potential problems such as diabetes, hypertension, or kidney disorders.
  • Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) - Analyzes your thyroid function for signs of too much or too little thyroid hormone.
Cardiac Risk Panel $150

The Cardiac Risk Panel gives you a clearer picture of your overall health, specifically your heart health. This panel includes the Basic Wellness Panel along with 4 other tests. This panel helps to identify your risk of diabetes, heart disease, and stroke by monitoring any inflammation in your body. This panel also reports your complete blood counts, electrolytes, kidneys and liver functions.

  • C - reactive protein (CRP) - CRP measures a protein that increases during systemic inflammation. This panel tests this level to assess any cardiovascular or heart disease risk.
  • HbA1C   - Analyzes your blood sugar level over the past 3 months. Elevated blood sugar can lead to diabetes. Undetected diabetes can be a silent killer. It is the leading cause of blindness and kidney failure. It increases the likelihood of heart attacks, strokes and infections. Screening for indications of diabetes now might give you the opportunity to prevent the onset or keep the disease from advancing. Knowing your status is important!
  • NMR Lipoprotein - A standard cholesterol test may not be enough because it can't detect ALL the risk factors associated with cardiovascular disease. According to National Institutes of Health, approximately 50% of people suffering from heart attacks have "normal" cholesterol numbers. If you have "normal" cholesterol numbers, you may want to consider the more comprehensive NMR Lipoprotein Test. This test can determine your cardiovascular risk despite those apparent "normal" levels.
  • EKG - An electrocardiogram is a test that that checks for problems with the electrical activity of your heart. It is used to evaluate chest pain and for signs and symptoms of a heart attack.  It helps to check the health of the heart when other diseases or conditions are present, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, cigarette smoking, diabetes, or a family history of heart disease.
Cholesterol Maintenance Panel $25

If you're taking cholesterol medication, certain lab tests are needed every three months to monitor how well your medicine is working, as well as, potential side effects. This panel checks to see if your current total cholesterol, LDL (bad cholesterol), HDL (good cholesterol), and triglyceride (blood fats) levels have changed. While not a common side effect, changes in liver enzymes can be directly associated with your current prescription, therefore, this panel will also check the liver enzymes that can be affected.

Diabetes Maintenance Panel $30

Nearly 6 million people don't realize that diabetes is attacking their bodies. The Diabetes Maintenance Panel is an effective panel for both monitoring your diabetes as well as preventing the complications associated with diabetes. This panel is most effective when obtained every 3 months. The knowledge gained from these tests will give necessary information to help monitor and/or adjust your diabetic medications.

The Diabetes Maintenance Panel includes the following tests:

  • Complete Metabolic Panel - This blood test is used to monitor the electrolytes in your blood as well as the level of function of your liver and kidneys. It can also help detect adverse events and side effects associated with some diabetes medications.
  • Fasting Glucose - This blood test is used to detect both high and low blood sugar, to help diagnose diabetes, and to monitor glucose levels in persons with diabetes.
  • Hemoglobin A1c - This blood test can detect pre-diabetes, diagnose it, or see if diabetes is under control.
  • Diabetic Urinalysis - This urinalysis will determine if albumin (protein) is found in your urine (if so, it's possible your kidneys aren't working properly).
Full Thyroid Panel $25

Are you always tired? Does your weight fluctuate? Do you find it hard to lose weight? It may be the result of a dysfunctional thyroid. If there is a thyroid level imbalance in your body, you may be more susceptible to everything from osteoporosis and heart disease to infertility and fatigue. The thyroid gland is responsible for regulating how your body uses energy. The Thyroid Panel screens for thyroid disease, hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism by examining your body's production of the thyroid hormones.

There are two types of thyroid disorders including:

  • Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) - symptoms may include fatigue, weight gain, a short attention span, and numbness or cold intolerance.
  • Hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid) - symptoms may include weight loss, persistent vomiting, increased blood pressure, hair loss or a persistently fast heart rate.
HIV Test $25

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) test is a blood test that detects the virus that causes AIDS. HIV is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases, but can also be transmitted through IV drug use and less likely, blood transfusions. This condition damages your immune system and can lead to serious illness, infections and many other symptoms.
Comprehensive Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) panel $225

The Comprehensive STD Panel (urine and blood) tests for several sexually transmitted diseases at the same time, including HIV, Syphilis, Herpes I and II, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C. If you've had unprotected sex at any point in your lifetime, you could be infected with a sexually transmitted disease. Even if you don't have any visible symptoms, it's possible to have an STD and spread it to someone else. If there's a chance you've been exposed to an STD, it's critical to find out as soon as possible. Peace of mind is important.
Comprehensive Male Wellness Panel $150

The Comprehensive Male Wellness Panel gives you everything that's in the Basic Wellness panel, plus a lot more including the PSA, Testosterone, and Uric Acid tests. These tests help you assess your general adrenal and testicular function. These organs contribute to your production of testosterone, which is vital for fertility, libido, and increased muscle mass.

This panel includes the following tests:

  • Basic Wellness Panel
  • PSA Test - This blood test determines the levels of Prostate Specific Antigen (protein produced by the prostate cells). Elevated levels of PSA can be an indication of an enlarged prostate or prostate cancer.
  • Testosterone Level - This is a blood test that confirms the level of testosterone in the blood. Optimal testosterone levels are required by the human body to maintain bone density, lean muscle mass, sex drive, energy, mental stability and overall sense of well-being. When stress levels increase, testosterone is often affected - your body begins to divert hormone production to cortisol, leaving fewer precursors for testosterone production. This decline in testosterone can lead to fatigue, low libido, difficulty losing weight and more.
  • Uric Acid - The uric acid blood test is used to detect high levels of this compound in your blood. Some patients with high levels of uric acid have a disease called gout, which is a form of arthritis. People with gout suffer from joint pain, most often in their toes, but in other joints as well.
Comprehensive Female Wellness Panel $200

The female body is highly complex with numerous hormones that perform vital functions including regulating the menstrual cycle, protecting the heart and bones, and helping a placenta develop in the womb. The Extended Female Panel will find out if your hormones are functioning properly. It gives you everything that's in the Basic Wellness panel, plus a lot more including the Estradiol, LH, Progesterone, FSH, and Pap tests.

This panel includes the following tests:

  • Basic Wellness Panel
  • Estradiol Test - This blood test checks levels of the primary estrogen that is essential for reproduction. Estradiol is responsible for the growth of the female uterus, Fallopian tubes, and vagina. It promotes breast development and the growth of the outer genitals. The hormone plays a role in the distribution of body fat in women and stops the process of growing taller.
  • Progesterone, FSH, and LH - These blood test checks the levels of hormones that stimulate ovarian follicles and ovulation. In aging females the rise of two of these hormones indicate the onset of menopause. These hormonal levels define the health of the female reproductive system.
  • Pap Test (Pap Smear) - This exam and pathology test is a screening tool used to detect pre-cancerous and cancerous processes in the female reproductive system. Abnormal and malignant cells can be detected and treated early, thus preventing cervical cancer.
Female Cancer Screen and Tumor Marker Panel $175

Medical researchers have identified more than a dozen substances that, when at abnormal levels, can indicate cancer. Tumor markers are measurable substances that are typically associated with a "bad" or cancerous tumor (malignancy). They are either produced by tumor cells or by the body in response to tumor cells and are used to help detect, diagnose, and manage some types of cancer. An elevated level of a tumor marker may suggest the presence of a cancer. The Female Cancer Screen and Tumor Marker Panel helps to screen for several types of cancers that affect women. While scientists have not discovered markers for every type of cancer, this panel will evaluate the levels of common tumor markers related to cancers such as breast, liver, lung, stomach, gastrointestinal, and pancreatic.
Male Cancer Screen and Tumor Marker Panel $175

Medical researchers have identified more than a dozen substances that, when at abnormal levels, can indicate cancer. Tumor markers are measurable biochemicals that are typically associated with a "bad" or cancerous tumor (malignancy). They are either produced by tumor cells or by the body in response to tumor cells. The Male Cancer Screen and Tumor Marker Panel helps to screen for several types of cancers that affect men. While scientists have not discovered markers for every type of cancer, this panel will evaluate the levels of common tumor markers related to cancers such as liver, lung, testicular, prostate, stomach, gastrointestinal, and pancreatic.
Arthritis and Lupus Panel $75

Do your joints hurt? Do you have body stiffness? It could be arthritis or other body inflammation. There are nearly three times as many women with rheumatoid arthritis than men…and it usually begins between your 30s and 60s. But anyone can get rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune disorders. This panel includes a number of tests that give you information to help determine if you have a connective tissue or auto-immune disorder (such as rheumatoid arthritis or Lupus). The Rheumatoid Factor (RF) test is primarily used to help diagnose rheumatoid arthritis and other forms of arthritis and other conditions that cause joint pain, inflammation, stiffness and others. It is commonly ordered with other tests like the CRP (C-Reactive Protein) and an ANA (Antinuclear Antibody). The C-Reactive Protein (High Sensitivity) is a protein that increases during systemic inflammation.  An Antinuclear Antibodies (ANA) test, measures the amount of abnormal antibodies that hurt the body's tissues.
